Alongside this there will be retail space, cafes, restaurants, a casino, apartments and office space up to approximately 145,000 sq ft (13,500 sq m).

Sadler Square

Blueprint secured planning permission in 2008 for the development of Sadler Square. The mixed-use scheme has been designed to provide up to 45,000 sq ft (4,200sq m) of office space and retail units, alongside residential apartments. This development is ideally located in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter and is easily accessible with work expected to commence later in 2008.

Central Square

Planning permission has recently being granted to the Derbyshire based developer Norseman Investments to develop a 400,000 sq ft office scheme on a three acre site opposite the brand new Westfield Shopping Centre. The developer and design team are fully committed to attaining BREEAM 'excellent' certification for One Derby. The project represents the city's largest ever office development and will create a superb landmark central business district. It will consist of six buildings over and under-croft car park, set back from the road. The high quality buildings will be between six and nine storeys and will be located around a publicly-accessible piazza. There will also be bars, restaurants and leisure facilities at the complex making it an ideal business location.
