Invest in Derby Service

The Invest in Derby Team offers support to businesses relocating to the city and companies already based here who have expansion plans.

Services range from general information and advice to highly specialised responses. The team draws upon a network of expertise from business service providers from within the region to deliver solutions to assist with the relocation or expansion of your business.

Invest in Derby is working to build and retain a strong base for the local economy and has established a range of options to meet your requirements, which may include:

• An early meeting with Invest in Derby staff to determine the support services to match business needs.
• A full sites or premises search facility in conjunction with local agents and organisation of site tours. This includes our on line property data base.

To assist companies with their feasibility studies on expansion or relocation, we offer a range of services that may include:

• Detailed information on Derby's economy, labour market and property market can be provided in the form of tailored reports.
• Presentations and tours can be arranged at all stages of the decision-making process and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the organisation. Presentations can include information on the economy and on quality of life issues. Tours can be confined to sites and premises or expanded to cover housing, leisure and shopping facilities.
• The creation of a project team from Invest in Derby to work alongside the relocating organisation to ensure that partner support and local business networking will be available when required by the client.
• Key-staff familiarisation visits, organised and run by Invest in Derby to help staff become aware of the benefits of living and working in Derby.

To ensure your organisation has access to support to enable your company to thrive in Derby we may provide a number of services:

• Liaison with the Regional Development Agency, Business Link (Train to Gain) & Jobcentre Plus
• Helping with recruitment & retention of staff from Derby
• Providing direct links to training providers & funding schemes

The Investor development service offered by Invest in Derby includes support up to the first two years of operation in the city.
